Do you have pet? Your Pet should have name. I remember around 7 year back I have 4 pet, cute little Hamster, each of them also have a name.

This morning my boss pass me a bag of tools, and ask me to play around. If I not sure how to use may ask my senior colleague.

Wow, it is almost same like the Fluke Fiber tester, the brand is from Agilent. The price for this tools I not sure, after asking my colleague, the price are higher then the fluke, approximate RM30 to 40K per set.

This Tester if for Cat-6 cable only, for Cat-5 cable is using the yellow fluke tester.

This tester are more advance from the fluke one, it is tough screen. My boss ask me test out because they have a project at WAWASAN University. Installing the Cat-6 cable at their server room, after the installation, me and my colleague need to go test cable and ensure the cable are workable. Each test (end to end) took 1 minute plus, there are 240 point in the server room. Wow…how long I need (more…)

While IT people talk about switch, or when I told people I am installing switch, people confusing and will think is the switch that we use usually at home, on “off device switch”

Cisco is one of the famous networking brand, and the price are damm expensive. Some more is not everyone know how to configure this product.

I have been admire those Network engineer who can configure this product. If not mistaken those engineer salary are very high, and they are just master to configure the this kind of product only.

Last week I came back from site support, I saw a Cisco switch in my company, according to my boss, this switch need to send to a factory and install it for them. Just Install, no need configure. That not good for me, quite rush and I did not have time to try it out at office. (more…)

On yesterday movie, I have mention that Exabytes are giving free windows hosting, I guess should be temporary, because is BETA version only, may be future will need to paid, since WindowsServer 2008 will be launch next year.

My self also have 2 pcs of WindowsServer 2008 beta DVD(Sure Original one) that obtain during Microsoft Seminar few month back. The server specification are high, if not, i will install in my PC and test it out.

For this package include:

• 200MB disk space
• 5G bandwidth
• 1 MS SQL Database
• 1 FTP account
• sub domain only (Too bad )

Back to “I get an Invitation from WMM” to attend Exabytes private movie screening. Today was the day, I arrive around 2pm and exchange for ticket. There are a lot of people. While I get in to the cinema, it is cinema number 1, a large cinema.

I did not take photo there, since so much people already and I am shy to take out my candy bar for a shoot. Hope exabytes will post up some picture in their website.

For this event, other then enjoy the movie, we not much socialize there, every one enjoy movie without talk much to each other and after movie finish, every one dismiss. No time to get know each other.
