May I know what you are using to host your blog?
    Exabytes?

I would like to ask on the life span of a free online web hosting company and also what do they earn by providing this free service

Yee Piao: I used to use Articulate-X but switched over to Exabytes early last year. Yes — I’m aware that it’s one of the more expensive web hosting companies in Malaysia but their support is just great. Have a look at DataKL too. I’ve heard good review about them.

Criz Lai: You raise an interesting point as well. I used to use a US web hosting company which offered free hosting… it subsequently offered a ‘paid’ version as well and started reducing its free hosting benefits. It’s always to invest or possibly share a hosting package with a few friends. It’s much reliable that way.

YP, i am using Exabytes, as u can see at the end of my blog got Exabytes Ads there… because last time i won a member of the month at WMM, the price is the cash voucher of Exabytes, so i just add on some buck and hosted there… service are not bad… RM300 for 2 year

Criz, as Hinching say, there was correct… but some of the free hosting is just give u testing (limited space and bandwidth, once u become more advance, u will need more fetures, then mostly people will start paid for the paid hosting… Some free hosting will have advertisement on top of your website and some restrict you from putting other ads like google adsense

free hosting is only good for those who just started playing around with webmastering. as you have ur site running constantly and get yourself some domain, a paid hosting is the way to go.
free hosting could collapse at anytime and there is nothing that you could complain about. their server is loaded with thousands of account thus would slow down the server performance. downtime and data loss is another great concern too.
I lost my site data a few times on free hosting
