It is simple, you just require to cancel your plan at Yahoo Domain Name. but don’t worry, only cancel for Yahoo Domain, the rest of the service such as Yahoo Mail will be remain.

Ok, here is the step by step to cancel plan for Yahoo Domain Name.

1. Login into domain.yahoo.com or smallbusiness.yahoo.com
Click on “cancel plan”, it will bring you to another page.

2.Just provide them some feedback. I will recommend you mention how expensive their renews fees are! and hit “continue”

3. This page will give you some warning, it will mention once you cancel, you will lost access to the domain control panel tools. By the way, your domain already trasnfer to other register, so this has no worry.

Just hit “cancel my plan”

4. This page is the comfirmation on your cancellation, just hit “finish”

Once you have done. Try to access domain.yahoo.com or smallbusiness.yahoo.com and login, you will get this warning

because this service are no longer available for your ID… Hola! Done the cancellation.

Yahoo Domain Name will not charge you any more at your next billing date.

Here my experience and solution…
Since I start to blog iCalvyn.com, my blogging platform (WordPress) are install in http://blog.iCalvyn.com which is a subdomain. Any one who access www.iCalvyn.com will be redirect to http://blog.iCalvyn.com (subdomain)

After few month hardwork on traffic marketing and link building, google have rank me PR3, this both domain iCalvyn.com and blog.iCalvyn.com. Half year later, when google make another rank, my main URL www.iCalvyn.com maintain PR3 while my subdomain http://blog.iCalvyn.com become PR0… what a sad story…

I keep on asking google reconsider ranking my website, and few month back google just give me a PR2 for my subdomain, main URL still maintain PR3. I still not happy on this, I deserve to get higher PR.

For this case, I was planning to migrate my blog from the sub domain to the main URL, but I worry on the traffic from search engine(SE) will be loss. Example traffic from SE access http://blog.icalvyn.com/hello-world will be no longer exist after I change.

Permalink Moved Permanently

With using “Permalink moved permanently” plugin from Microkid, will solve your problem while you change permalink structure.

Example (1) for your current permalink
http://www.yourname.com/2008/04/hello-world

Example (2) for your after change permalink

http://www.yourname.com/hello-world

You won’t loss the traffic which access Example (1) URL after installing this plugin. People who access your old URL (from forum or other people who link your article) will redirect to your after change URL at Example (2)

Back to my case…

I am not actually change my permalink, is only domain structure, I am also not sure would this plugin helps or not. The reason make me take action is because I realize that my main URL now was PR4.

After few hour troubleshoots, I realize that I still need to maintain my own blog at subdomain, if the blog does not exist, the link can’t works, still need to check with microkid.

Any way, I have success migrate my blog from subdomain to the main URL. Huray~

Tips to buy cheap domain at Yahoo
The cheap domain is only for new customer only,either your domain are new, or transfer to them, the 1st year will be USD1.99,

How to transfer a domain?

1st of all, you need to find the Authorization code, login into Yahoo Domain CPanel, click on the “Domain Control Panel”

Scroll down to the bottom, you will found a link called “View Your Authorization Code“

You may found your authorization code there, but before you key in into your new domain seller(such as NameCheap or GoDaddy), you need to unlock your domain 1st. Click on the “Locked” button

Click “Unlock Domain” to release the lock

Now, your status become Unlocked

Now with the Unlocked Status, you may use the Authorization code

At last I realize that they are actually looking for the oldest domain that related to gambling, and all the list they found and post it to their website.

On this list, I can found that HP.com, IBM.com, INTEL.com and SUN.com are create at 1986, while CISCO.com, APPLE.com and PHILIPS.com create at 1987

Limitation
Free thing always have disadvantage or limitation, my account has been suspended, because did not meet the term and condition. It show that “FREE domains expire after 90 days when less than twenty-five (25) users have been to your website”. I would like to send email to the support, on domain reactivate, unfortunately i not able to find a support email in the Dot.tk website. only have phone number to call.

Try and Error
After i involve into Webmaster world, I started to collect all related tools, mostly are free tools, such as free hosting and ftp software, i started to participate in forum, the most visit forum will be WebmasterMalaysia.com, i meet a lot of senior webmaster there, they share a lot of useful information with me, after that i started to do testing. Try and error.

Previously i always see “PR” at alot of forum, i tough it is “Public Relationship”, the webiste need to have public relationship amoung other website then only can have high PR, but it was wrong, lets see  what google says on PR:
