MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA and LIBERTYVILLE, IL at AUGUST 15, 2011, Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG) together with Motorola Mobility Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: MMI) at the moment stated that they’ve signed a conclusive arrangement under which Google definitely will purchase Motorola Mobility for $40.00 for each share in cash, or simply a full of approximately $12.5 billion, a premium from 63% for the closing price of Motorola Mobility shares on Friday, August 12, 2011. The deal was initially all approved by the boards of company directors of both the companies.

The acquisition of Motorola Mobility, an obsessive Android operating system partner, will probably enable Google to help to increase the Android mobile phone environment and often will enhance competition in mobile computing. Motorola Mobility will always be a licensee of Android and Android will continue open. Google will manage Motorola Mobility like a individual company.

Larry Page, CEO of Google, said, “Motorola Mobility’s 100 % persistence to Android operating system has generated a perfect suit for our two businesses. At the same time, we are going to produce impressive user experiences which will supercharge the whole Android ecosystem for the benefit to consumers, partners as well as programmers. I look forward to welcoming Motorolans to our family of Googlers”

Sanjay Jha, CEO of Motorola Mobility, announced, “This deal provides substantive advantage for Motorola Mobility’s shareholders and give persuasive new chances for the workers, customers, as well as partners around the world. We’ve provided an effective partnership together with Google to succeed the Android operating system platform, and after this throughout this mixture we are able to do a lot more to innovate and supply wonderful mobility solutions around our mobile devices and home-based businesses.”

Andy Rubin, Senior V . P . of Mobile at Google, says, “We expect which the collaboration will help us to kick brand new ground in the Android operating system environment. And yet, our vision for Android os is unaffected and Google stays firmly involved with Google android for an open platform and a vibrant open source community. We intend to continue to do business with all of our valued Android partners to build up and deliver powerful Android-powered equipment.”

The exchange is subject to customary closing circumstances, such as receipt of regulatory approvals in the states, european union together with other jurisdictions, as well as authorization of Motorola Mobility’s stockholders. The exchange is expected to shut at the end of 2011 or early 2012.

Lets begin by giving you a quick and accurate breakdown of what Google+ does.

1. It combines all of the best features of Facebook and Twitter in one place.
2. It also combines all of this with gmail
3. It connects this to AdWords and Google search engine and its search partners.

So in short Google+ will draw all of these strings together!

So how will this affect your business, AdWords advertising and Google page ranking?

To answer these questions lets consider what happens when someone presses your Google+ button on your site or on your AdWords ad:

First, all of their friends who are in their gmail account will be sent a notification recommending your site and service to them. This will also extend to Facebook and Twitter as Google+ will invite them to join. So instant and Free advertising for your web site to hundreds of people.

But there is more!

Now anytime one them is looking for a product or service on Google and see your AdWords ad or natural search listing, Google will put
a notification next to your site or Ad saying “Calvyn Lee (or whatever their friends name is) recommends this site to you”

Imagine, you will get a personal recommendation from someone they know to use your service and it will make your AdWords ad or site stand out from your competition!

All of that has to be good for your business! and what’s more its Free!

It will also greatly affect your page ranking on Google because the more people press on your Google+ button the higher your sites
relevancy will be viewed. They will become more important than inbound links.

So for all of these reasons you are going to want as many people as possible to press your Google+ button!

I already have several marketing strategies prepared to encourage people to press your Google+ button. Stay tune for following news at iCalvyn.com

In conclusion Google+ is going to be huge and your advantage is that you will be amongst the first to use it properly and to integrate it into your AdWords campaigns, Re marketing ect…. and REALLY benefit from it! Putting you way ahead of your competition!

At the moment you can only go onto Google+ by invitation as Google are bench testing the service but it wont be long before everyone can join. This is how they started gmail.

Once it is open to the general public I will show you how to set it up correctly and how to integrate Google+ with your AdWords campaign, Re marketing, Local business listings ect…. and how to obtain a higher raking on Google by using Google Plus.

In the meantime I would like to tell you of another internet shift that is already affecting your business but you may not be aware
of yet! The mobile device revolution!

This is very important please read

Over the last year more and more people are buying bigger and better mobile devices and they are using their smart phones, ipad,
androids, Blackberries and similar mobile devices to access the internet.

Actually 60% of internet traffic is now from these devices. So the BIG question you need to be asking is:

How does my web site LOOK on them? and how does it perform on them?

This is extremely important because 60% of people viewing your site are using a mobile device!

You may be in for a shock!

Love it or hate it, social networking is here to stay. Facebook is the biggest social website but it has a clunky interface that’s riddled with quirks. Nevertheless, persuading its 750 million users to move elsewhere will be a gargantuan task.

Recently launched but already boasting a phenomenal 20 million users, Google+ is the search giant’s latest attempt to put its stamp on social networking. It implements many of the improvements suggested by users of Facebook and Twitter, boasts a vastly superior interface and introduces the concept of separating your contacts into different social circles so you can control who sees what about you. For example, you can share a risque photo of a stag weekend with your friends, but keep it from your work and family circles.

With group video chatting, and unlimited photo and video storage (as long as photos are smaller than 2,048 by 2,048 pixels, and videos shorter than 15 minutes), there’s a lot of reasons why Google+ could be the next big thing.

Lets try Google Plus, 10 step to know how to use Google Plus

1. The first thing to do is take control of your profile. Click the Profile button, (1) select About (2) and Edit Profile. (3) Select an option and type a description. (4) Click the down arrow to control who can see it, then Save.

2. Circles are the key element of Google+. Click the Circles button (1) to manage them. You can create a new circle by dragging a contact’s tile (2) to the grey circle, (3) or hover your mouse over it and click ‘Create circle’.

3. Hover your mouse over a circle to see who’s in it. (1) Click the circle for more options. You can rename it, (2) delete it (3) or add a new person. (4) To see the Circle members’ updates, click ‘View stream for this circle’. (5) Click ‘View circle in tab’ to create a permanent link to it. (6)

4. To find new people to link to, select ‘People who’ve added you’ (1) or ‘Find and invite’, (2) Your Gmail contacts will already be listed, as will Google’s ‘friends of friends’ suggestions. Or click ‘Add a new person’ and type a name or email to find unlisted people. (3)

5. You may find yourself being followed by people you don’t know, If you don’t reciprocate by putting them in one of your circles, they will only be able to see your public posts. See if they’re worth following back by clicking Incoming. (1)

6. Likewise, if you’re interested in someone else’s public posts, don’t be shy of putting them in your Following circle. (1) You can then read their public posts (2) and comment on them (3) if you wish.

7. When you post a message on Google+, you can choose who sees it. Type your message (1) and click ‘+ Add more people’. (2) Choose from circles or wider groups. (3) Blue buttons (4) indicate that the group is controlled by you. Green buttons (5) may be visible to strangers.

8. Once published, you can further control your message from the drop-down menu on the right. (1) You can edit and delete the post (2) and ‘Disable comments’. (3) ‘Disable reshare’ (4) removes the Share link (5) so people can’t pass it on.

9. As well as status updates, you can drag and drop photos and videos into the Stream box. Cut and paste a link from a website and Google+ will collect a synopsis of information from the site. (1) You can choose an appropriate picture with the arrows. (2)

10. Click your name, (1) then ‘Account settings’ (2) and Google+. (3) Phone alerts aren’t available to UK members yet, but you can select email notification for a range of options. Scroll down and you can also change the default circles that appear when you post.

If you’ve got a webcam, try Google+ Hangouts, which lets you hold a video conference with the people in your circles. Click the green ‘Start a hangout’ button and install the software. Choose a circle and Google+ will send them a message. If you want a private chat, make a special circle with one person in it. The main screen switches to whoever is talking, or you can watch YouTube together.

Like the majority of the major search engines like Google, Google assembles the web pages in the search index by utilizing special “searchbot” or crawler software to scour the net. Found pages are instantly put into Google’s ever-growing database whenever you try a search, you are searching this database of Webpages, not the website itself.

The outcomes of the Google searches are rated based on Google’s trademarked Page Rank technology. This PR technology measures the number of other pages link to particular page; the greater links to this page, the greater that PR. Additionally, Page Rank assigns a greater weight to links which come from higher ranked pages. Therefore if a webpage is linked from numerous high-ranked pages, that page will itself achieve a greater ranking.

The idea would be that the popular a webpage is, the greater that page’s ultimate value. Although this sounds similar to a recognition contest (which is), it’s surprising how frequently this method provides high-quality results.

The amount of Webpages listed in Google is probably the biggest of others search engines (Google and AllTheWeb are constantly struggling for “greatest” boasting privileges), and that means you stand a reasonably pretty good possibility of really finding that which you were trying to find. And also the Google internet search engine is comparatively wise, it evaluates the key phrases inside your query and recognizes the type of google result you are searching for. (For instance, should you enter an individual’s title and city, it knows to look its phonebook? not the overall Website index.)

Quality scoring is Googles reward system. If you get a high quality score they will charge you far less per click. If you get a low quality score they will charge you more.

But what is it based on? It is based on common sense and fairness! Let me explain.

Google only charge you when someone clicks on your ad. They do not charge you anything to display your ad when no one has clicked on it (this is called an impression)

So if you have phrases in your account that are only generating impressions but not click’s then Google have not made any money.

There they are displaying your ad for free and not making anything from it. How would you feel? So when someone does eventually click on your ad Google will charge you more for that click to re coupe what it feels that it has lost because of your poor choice of phrase or because your ad was not appealing enough for people to click on it. This sounds fair and makes sense!

So to improve your quality score get rid of phrases that are only generating impressions and not clicks. Your (CTR) Click through
rate will go up and so will your quality scoring.

There are many other ways to improve your quality scoring but the end of the day an efficient campaign properly set up will be a win win situation. You will make MORE profit and Google will charge you less.

At this point I would like you to consider an option that will make a great difference to your AdWords campaign.

Over the years I have found that many businesses do not really have the time or expertise to re adjust their AdWords campaigns sufficiently to make these dramatic savings and to realistically increase sales. But they do want to pay the minimum AdWords costs for the maximum results!

If you have felt that this course has opened your eyes to the possibility of reducing your AdWords costs and Increasing your AdWords sales but you feel you do not have the time or expertise to put these suggestions properly into practice then I can help.

You may think at this point. “How much will this cost?” Please dont worry about that. That depends on your AdWords campaign and you budget. I can assure you that I can tailor a package that will suit your needs and your budget! This no obligation quote will be specially tailored for you and your business.

We can always come to some arrangement! I guarantee that you will be very pleasantly surprised!

So if you have an AdWords campaign and have been paying AdWords more than you should then doesn’t it make sense to get a professional to sort it out. It will save you a fortune and will increase business.

Conversion tracking.
Conversion tracking allows you to see which phrase generated a sale or inquiry. How does it do this?

If you were selling sunglasses and you used the phrase “Rayban sunglasses” in your campaign, when someone puts “Rayban sunglasses” into the search box of Google it would trigger your ad to come up. They then click on it and this brings them onto your site. They then decide to buy a pair of Rayban sunglasses from you, they go to your payment page and put in their card details and make the purchase.

Conversion tracking tracks them from the moment they click on your ad to the moment they buy. It then ads a 1 next to phrase in your campaign to show you that phrase has generated a sale. Now you know which phrases in your account are making sales and which are not. The next step is easy. Get rid of the phrases that are not resulting in sales! Keep the ones that are!

Before we go into the next features
I would like to remind all AdWords users that you are paying for every person who visits your site so you should be very interested in what they do when they land on it. These features let you know exactly that.

Site Overlay.
This is a facility that allows you to see where a person goes when they land on your site. Are they actually going where you want them to go. If not, you can change the position or colour of buttons to make them stand out so that visitors are funneled to the pages where you want them to go.

The exit page.
The exit page tells you where people leave your site. What is making them leave on that page. What is it about that page that is making them leave. You want to people to stay on your site so now you know which pages are the ones you need to change to keep them on your site.

Traffic sources.
In the analytics you have a facility called “Cross Channel Tracking” This allows you to see where every visitor to your site is coming from. All on one page. So you can see clearly which search engine, portal or list is driving the best traffic to you. I have had clients that were convinced that AdWords was making them their profits when actually the majority of customers were coming from other sources. Based on what they found here they closed down their advertising on several paid portals and reduced their AdWords
advertising and did not see any significant drop in their sales.

They saved a lot of money! Its well worth finding out!

After getting know How to use Google Analytics. Lets begin by weeding out the phrases that are generating time wasters and keep in and improve on the phrases that are generating the real sales and interest. To achive this we use the AdWords analytics

Today lets look at site depth, time on site, bounce rate and visitor loyalty. We will take bounce rate first.

Bounce rate
A bounce is someone who visits your site and takes one look and leaves immediately. They ” bounce”. This is a time waster who has
no intention in buying from you. They are just a surfer who’s eye was caught by your ad. You do not want bouncers! They cost you
money that could have been spent to generate a real customer.

Site depth.
This is when someone who lands on your site and visits several pages of your site.

Time on site.
This tells you how long a visitor has been on your site.

Visitor loyalty are returning visitors.
This means that they havebook marked your site and are returning. It is a fact that someone will visit a site several times before buying a product so it is important to know which phrases generate visitor loyalty.

What can you tell by these?
If someone has used a phrase and lands on your site and spends several minutes on your site, visit several pages and then bookmark your site and return several times Who spends time on a site and return to the site several times if they are not interested in?

These are all of the hallmarks of a real prospect. They will probably buy from you!

So by looking at the analytics you can weed out the phrases that are generating the most bounces and keep in the phrases that are
generating, time on site, depth and visitor loyalty.

The budget that you will save from this can be loaded onto the phrases that are really working! By using the analytics you have
just reduce costs and increase sales. But there is more.

You can improve on this by using the conversion tracking system. site overlay and traffic sources.

If you have an AdWords campaign but are not using the analytics then it is the equivalent of driving at night with the lights switched off! To make any changes for the good you need to see what is going on in with your campaign! Even if you have switched on the analytics you may not be using it correctly so please read on.

What is Google analytics?
This is the best analytical system on the internet today. No other system comes close to it!

The reason why is that Google have spent millions of dollars on it (no other analytics software company has spent nearly as much on theirs) and for everyone who have an AdWords account it is absolutely FREE to use! You can use it even when your AdWords campaign is not being used.

Why have they spent so much and put so much effort into perfecting their analytics system. Because they want you to succeed using AdWords. Why? Because if you make more money out of AdWords advertising than you are putting in then you are a happy customer who will continue to use them. If you just break even or lose money using AdWords then you will walk. They don’t want that to happen. So use the tools they are giving you. It will work!

Their analytics lets you see what is happening when someone visits your site. It tells you what phrase they used to end up on your page. It will tell you where they are and which search engine they found you on. It will tell you if they arrived at your site via Ad Words, via portal or by the natural or organic search engines.

You can track a visitor to see how long they spent on a page and which page they were on when they left your site and it can reveal much much more. There are over 300 ways you can splice and dice this information.

So the first port of call when reducing your AdWords costs and increasing sales is to switch on your AdWords analytics.
You then need to install the urchin tracking snippet onto all of the pages of your web site.

This may all seem complicated but it is pretty straight forward. So lets assume that you have done all of that and you have your analytics switched on.

What do you need to look at?
Well there are 300 different ways to look at the information but most of it will be irrelevant for you. These will tell you how well or how poorly the phrases in your account are working.

The goal is to have in your account ONLY phrases that are generating sales and inquires. You don’t just want clicks from time wasters who click on your ad but don’t buy from you!

Analytics will help you weed out the phrases that are just generating time wasters and keep in the account the phrases are generating sales and inquiries!

The most important aspects of Adwords analytics are:
Site depth
Time on site.
Bounce rate
Conversion tracking
Site overlay
Traffic source
Visitor loyalty

The rest of the analytics is interesting but wont really be of any help to you. The key to success is interpreting these statistic correctly and making the right changes.

There is something else that is not covered by the analytics but is vitally important it is called quality scoring. Get a good quality score and Google will half your click price get a bad quality score and you will pay the maximum per click. I will deal with this separately after discussing the above.

A friend of mine, Michael Teoh share with me his experience on Google Wave invitation, initially he receive the invitation from his friend, he thought is just some junk mail, and he click delete, another invitation arrive, he do the same, and 3rd invitation, he click as spam! WTF! At the end only he realize how valuable this invitation are. We are not allow to sign up at Google Wave website, only whom with invitation allow to sign up.

At last, I get my google invitation from Jason Gan, a Social Media Marketer. Previously found that each people sign up have 10 invitation to send out, but for my account only have 8 invitation.
