This topic should be Ferry, but mostly photographer won’t give direct word as topic, so I should name my topic as Closer.

Any one can guess why I use this topic? Closer…

To be seriously in photography, I do learn before when last time attend photography class, my teacher use to tell us, every picture we snap, need to have a title, without have a title, the photo is consider rubbish.

So, even I have a digital camera at hand, I also don’t simply snap, and people always ask me:

Calvyn, why don’t snap? shy ah?

And I just give them a simple smile , because I do understand CCD in our digital camera have life span, and also the flash.

Last 3 week, week end, Me and Johnathan a.k.a SeraphAngel, went to snap ferry, previously we plan to drive bike, stop into ferry, and start snap, and snap again while return.

Due to the 20 minute travel, we feel not enough for the photo we snap, at the end, we arrive mainland, park our bike there, and we take ferry back to penang again, and when back to mainland to pick up our vehicle at the end.  (more…)

While I told my friend I am going to bon odori, the 1st thing they will comment: “those are kids event” because at their mind set, this event full of those secondary school student, around 16 year old to 20 year old, we use to be there during our secondary school.

I did not snap much picture actually, is full of people, and very peak, can’t snap a good picture, only manage to snap people’s head. Oh ya, talk about head, I manage to snap head of Penang, the Chief Minister of Penang is dance with those Japanese people. What a wonderful moment.

Lot of people there, and under the stage, dance with all those Japanise, and some are fake Japanise actually, because I heard they are speaking chinese or hokkien… lol

Seriously, a lot preety japanise chick there, and I manage to snap few of their picture (more…)

Since I bough my Nikon D80 beginning of this year, I did not have much communicate with my camera, just few outing with friend such as “My 1st outing“, Kek Lok Si Photo Outing 1 and  kek Lok Si Photo Outing 2 during Chinese New Year.

Reason why I did not communicated much with my camera? A lot Photography freak ask me this question, but after asnwering them, most of them don’t like my answer… OK, forgot about this, let me share the photography magazine below, Photography freak should like it.

I was meeting a friend during the MIRC Tech Nite yesterday. He is a friend that I get know from an event last month call “Blog for Life“. During our conversation last nite, JasonGan telling me that he was impress with my Kek Lok Si Photo Outing.

Thank again for Jason, I am just a new SLR Freak, and simply shoot without much skill! If compare to other Pro Photographer, they will laugh at my photo kekekekek

Seriously, after I get my Nikon D80, I never go for outing at morning session before, just an evening outing and night outing only. This time again night outing.

Actually not consider an outing! Just accompany once of my friend to visit Kek Lok Si, at the last days of Chinese New Year - Chap Goh Meh. After filtering, realize that only few picture are nice and the rest are my friend picture. hahahah…. (more…)

Just a simple outing during Chinese New Year, at Kek Lok Si Temple nearby my house with my friend Johnathan, a photographer which own Canon 400D.

While we there, there are a lot of SLR member too, after we make a research, most of them are Canon user, and I only saw a girl use Fujifilm, so for no one take Nikon, I am the only one.

We visit few location, and each location we use about 20 min to shoot some picture, adjust the setting, and discuss the function we use. is quite fun to have a partner discuss with

“I was Un….satisfying with the picture I took”

May be is the timing not correct, or my skill still worst.
I quite some time did not went for outing, and this week end, I went for outing with Johnathan, we went there around 5pm and the sky did not act nice, there are some black crown and seen like going to rain. Lighting is the most important for photography, without good lighting, produce worst picture.

I am using the standard lens only, the highest aperture I have is 5.6f after Zoom, still cant make a good effect on this. (more…)

It suppose is my Xmas Present, but now become my Birthday Present…

Almost 1 month ago, I call the camera shop book a Nikon D80, it suppose is my Xmas present, but due to Nikon Malaysia no stock, delay until now. I have a friend who work at Nikon KL said that this model always the best sell.

Yesterday afternoon, the seller SMS me and after working hour, immediately use 10 min time from Relau to Paya Terubong and 15 min time from there to town~ Carry MYR 4K at my pocket and at last see my baby!

About half year ago, also the 1st time I meet Johnathan, a blogger that I know from WMM forum. That time he is looking for a Semi SLR just like my old camera, and I convict him to go for SLR at the camera shop, until he bough canon 400D, and I still with my SEMI… haha, really sorry for him… every month ask me when my SLR come and want to go shoot picture with me… (more…)
