For your information, the harvey normal photo center did not collect any processing fee, no express surchage and no minimum quantity. few step only to print the photo, first, bring your camera, memory card or USB pen drive to the kiosk. Second, slot in your USB pen drive, and start selecting the photo you want to print and submit. Third, collect it at the counter after few hours.

But if too many photo to print, it might take few days for your photo to ready.

Lye Huat Garden openning hour at 9am to 7.30pm every day exclude monday. Entrance fees will be RM10/person. You can get a group discount from them if you manage to bring a bus of 30 to 40 people.

What special in this garder? Actually this garden is a pretty good place for photography, and a lot of animals there, can consider a mini zoo too.

You will have a over view of the garden infront of the entance there, but no worry, you will get a small broucher or so call mini map with some introduction during you enter.

Lye Huat Garden do display some fake terra Cotta, althought is a fake terra cotta, but at least you can have some feel how how this terra cotta was.

A lot of fishie on the Man make lake, you are allow to feed the fish there.

After putting my mum and dad at sungai petani, 5 of us, NC, David, Chan, Hooi Hooi and me heading to Gunung with my darling.

The path to Gunung Jerai is really steep and narrow, while nearly the corner, the road sign advice every car to make a “hon” before cross the steep corner.

Hotel there is around RM180 onward, we are planning to find some friend, and go there stay over nite.

We found 1 restaurant or so call cafe at there, and environment kinda nice.

Time to be rich people for 2 hour… Lets order some luxury coffee and enjoy to be a rich people (Quote by Hooi Hooi)

Wash room also have a very nice design, and feel very comfortable… I guess this is so-call real “comfort room”

We order different type of coffee, mocha, cappuccino and etc, but cant recognize which one is which one already, all look very nice.

After our 2 hour enjoying be rich people, we looking for some nice place nearby there, and found this small mansion, look nice for photo shooting.

I climb up to the mansion, look like military design, and those sniper hide on top of the mansion.

Gunung Jerai also have some tourism place, which is the Telaga tok Sheikh, which is a very small telaga.

Feel like weird for this small “telaga”

We have a very wonderful moment at Gunung Jerai, will plan to have a visit next time.

After visit Hatyai Klong Hair Floating Market, compare to the bangkok floating market as In my memories are totally different.

We reach there approximate 4.30pm (thailand 3.30pm), sun light still very heavy, still not a barrier for us!

Before we cross over the bridge, I saw some boat fetching some passenger, put them on the floating platform. I wonder where they come from???

A lot visitor visit klong hair floating market, and found that a lot are speaking hokkien, I believe most of them are come from Penang or Kedah.

I wonder what this sign board write? Any one can translate?

This is what I like most! Before I visit this floating market, dad told me that they sell drink, and give the mug together. Now I realize how special this klong hair floating market are.

A lot of so call boat stall selling drink, with a lot of special shape mug, selling at 20B to 25B, my self buy a doremon shape one, cost me 25b

David found his favorite mug, ultraman one, at that moment weather is very hot, every one feel thirsty, but he is very happy not because of the drink, is because of the nice mug

If you happen to visit hatyai, and plan to visit Klong Hair Floating Market, just find a tuk tuk car, and told them the floating market, they will bring you there and cost about 15 to 2o baht.

The path to muka head is same opening path with Pantai Kerachut, as you can see, Pantai kerachut and Tekuk Kampi is on the left, while Sg.Tukun, Titian Kanopi, Teluk Aling, Teluk Duyung, and Rumah Api Muka Head (Light House)

On the journey to muka head, we pass by Teluk Aling, which is some USM (University Sains Malaysia)’s research center, and we stop by to have some photo shooting.

We stop at by Monkey Beach (Teluk Duyung) a while, we have some meal, bee hoon, and nasi lemak, and some snake. After rest, we on the way to the Light Tower… It take some distance there, and this short distance really take a lot of our energy… May be we stop too long at Monkey Beach already, and not more energy to hike!

According to the keeper there, this building is build at year 1809.

After I see the stone inside, I feel like a bit scare when see on top of the tower, does all this stone stable enough? some more so many year already!

The view on top of the light tower is really nice, some more the air is very cold.

The Light Tower is kinda strong, when I came down, approximate 10 to 15 people still up there, and another group of people is going up again.

Muka Head Light Tower is a nice place to visit, after we finish the visit, we went down to Monkey Beach, and manage to bargain with the fisherman over there to fetch us back with their boat without hike back again, cost us RM30 per trip! (6 person)

When we reach there, not much people, probably too early, just a few group of people are there and Population on Chinese over there are freaking less, seem like only us.

We have a short distance walk to upper part, and we reach this medium waterfall, and my friend can’t stand any more, jump into the water and enjoy the coolness.

After playing for a while, we continue walk to the higher level, the waterfall over there is much more higher and better view.

I also can’t stand it any more with the cold water there, jump into the water, and go near the waterfall, enjoy the free massages.

When we reach the destination, there are a temple, and some nice view on top of the hill.  Whether not that good, so cant shoot a clear view to the city. I just manage to take some shoot only.

Bukit berapit is a nice place for those who like a short distance hike, if happen to have some one organize this trip again, I might interest to go again!

Jubliee Clock Tower, was the  Queen Victoria Memorial Clocktower build  since 1897, Jubliee clock tower located at the junction of Lebuh Light and Lebuh Pantai , this clock tower is sixty feet tall, and just located behind the road side.

Just manage to choose 4 photo out of 20+ shoot during that noon. The most I like is this at the bottom one. The color and the photo look like over sharp, i feel like a painting.

Trend always change time by time; long time ago when Digital Camera introduce to the world, the size are consider big, with using Compact Flash (CF) card and Smart Media card (SM); as time goes by, the size design to become smaller, and using Secure Digital Card (SD). Again, within this few years, Digital Single Lens Reflect (DSLR) camera has became cheaper and cheaper, and most of the people afford to own it.

2 week ago, there are a flora fest at Penang Botanical Garden and ton of people holding DSLR camera shooting over there, and my friend told me that seem like not flora fest, should be DSLR holder fest.

Yesterday I visit a shopping mall, and the mall having transformer models road show over there, a lot of people holder SLR Digital Cameras and keep on shooting the models. I hang around the shopping mall about half days, no matter where I went, I saw people holding DLSR camera.

In my opinion, people no longer going to buy compact digital camera, mostly will goes for SLR Digital Cameras because the price is almost same with normal compact digital camera and the advantage is more function and changeable lens.

If you planning to buy a DLSR cameras, probably you can consider nikon d90, is the enhancement model from my nikon D80. if you have extra budget, optional, probably you can get a flat panel tvs to view the photo you taken. It will bring you much more satisfaction for the photo you shoot.

I was a bit disappointed when I saw the dragon boat, because on my memories, dragon boat should be very “grand” but when I saw the dragon boat on that days, yuck! why just a dragon head and a dragon tail “PLUG” on the boat and the dragon body with some painting, or cardboard or sticker stick on the boat only.

On that day, we also get some volunteer pass from the organizer, thank for the Ms.Peggy Tan (Honorary Secretary of this Event) who provide us the pass, so that we able to get into some nice corner for dragon boat shooting.

For this event, I purposely went to buy a Nikkor 70mm to 300mm lens, a cheap lens actually which cost me RM390 only. Without long zooming lens like 200mm or 300mm, it is impossible to a close up to the dragon boat while they race. Above is the starting point which is very far from my standing point, with my full turning of 300mm.

After the whole morning for Penang International Dragon Boat Race Shooting, I did not wait for the opening ceremony. On the following days, plan to visit again, but too far from my house and on that day, friend was asking for movie. So just give up to shoot the ending of the dragon boat race and the closing ceremony. Probably next year
