Files under News | Posted by calvyn

Yesterday early in the morning, when i check mail, i receive a mail from Communication Dept. The title is “Planned Outage Activities at Myloca” The content show that TMnet has to done some maintanance on Cyberjaya’s Data Centre (DC). This is how the email looks like:

Dear Customer,

We would like to inform you that TMNet has scheduled repair and audit activities in the Cyberjaya1 Data Center (formerly known as MyLoca) that involved the whole Data Center . It is part of an ongoing effort to ensure the integrity and reliability of the electrical power system of the Data Center at all times.

The maintenance will begin at 0700AM Malaysian Time on Saturday , 14thApril , 2007 . The work is expected to conclude within 24 hours, at approximately 07.00AM Malaysian Time, Sunday, 15 th April , 2007 .

During this time, all servers located at Cyberjaya1 Data Cente will have to be shutdown. As a result, you will be unable to access all websites and emails hosted at Cyberjaya1 Data Center for the duration of the exercise.

If you should have any inquiries regarding this, please do not hesitate to us.

Warmest regards,
Webhost and Email Provider - Your Right Hosting Partner

It sound serious for those Business which are doing e-commerce. after that i stright away receive another mail from another branches, the Manager has ask the web developer to put in a pop up message in our website

” TMNET’s repair & audit activities - Shut down on Apr 14, 2007 (Saturday) from 0700hrs to Apr 15, 2007 till 0700hrs.

Our sincere regret that the access to our website and email services will not be available during this period”

i have no idea whether is it will affect alot of website that hosted in malaysia, so i just posted this topic in the forum(WebmasterMalaysia.com) and see how the respond. The administrator of that forum - limcs stated that most of the web host have their server there. that mean it will affect most of us who hosted our website in Malaysia.

i also do some research on the “Myloca”,  Myloca is Telekom Malaysia’s total hosting and business continuity solutions centre. It offers IDC, Telehousing, and Business Continuity. i found some information about Myloca at www.myloca.com

Hopefully after the maintanance will have better service for us!
