Well, not necessarily need to format…. but if you have those backup cd where you can just restore your exact backup image in less than 10 minutes…then just use that…easier than u waste time to find out what is wrong. =p

if you can’t ctrl alt del, then you have probably 2 options. Hopefully, the antivirus program that you are using can remove it, if not, then you have to reformat.

kljs > yes, some time strongt virus will stop you CTRL ALT DEL too, have to use another solution when facing this

wow. thanks for the tips. uni students’ laptops are extremely vulnerable to virus infections.. glad to find out the ways to detect it without relying so much on antivirus programs.
