DR.M are using blogspot?

Files under News, iCalvyn Life | Posted by calvyn

I heard a news from my father this evening about Dr.M also having his own blog, while we discuss on the “raja petra” blogging politic news.

While I blog hop as usual, found about this news from CurryEgg, and the link in her article bring me to CHEDET.com, which so call DR.M’s blog, and I was not very believe. Why make me feel so?

Dr.M are using blogspot ??? [Who is him : Prime Minister of Malaysia 1981 – 2003]

FATHER OF TECHNOLOY using blogspot?

Dr.M

But after check with Uncle Google, this blog is not fake according to theStar (Proft)

Dr.Mahathir blog

But why he is using blogspot? instead of self hosted or hosted with custom made blogging platform? Then only call it as “PRO” ( Need to be PRO? : Domain and hosting sponsorship program)

May be I was too over look at them; even jeffooi also using typekey as blogging platform only. so to a lot of so called “PRO” or “famous” blogger also using free blogging platform

Since I mention about Jeffooi, I hope to take this opportunity to give my opinion here , about his blog, login require to post comment, I feel that troublesome. What do you think?

Other then this, no older article available or any archieve link, only 10 latest article available, I am unable to view his older entries.

May be this is a way to avoid the government to track his older article and sue him with his word which against the law. What do you think?

Recently our country more and more blogger born, even the politician and government realize that the power of blog.

Seriously I am proud to be a blogger ! Does you?

Anyway, I am able to offer them my Domain and Hosting Sponsorship Program if they don’t mind. Lol….

I think Blogger is nice for those who just concentrate write blog posts instead of customizing stuffs. I think Tun M’s blog is well-designed, simple and class.

Online community is undeniable getting bigger and stronger everyday, though not many people could see and feel that, especially our government.

Besides that, our internet infrastructure would also need to catch up with the development so as to maintain our competitiveness !

We wanted real STREAMYX but not SCREAMYX :)

    Isn’t that is frustrated ??

I believe if we could have more ISP in the country with healthy competition among them, our user experience would be much much better !!

Monopoly will not get us any further comparing to our neighboring countries.

Would anyone on those chair hear us talking about this ????????? I wonder !!

Honestly I find it extremely amusing that politicos are trying to catch on with the blogging phenomenon.

I feel that they kinda missed the boat, don’t you think?

Blogging is just a way to put down your thoughts, can use blogger, or self hosted wordpress. For Tun Dr., he’s not making money out of the blog, so doesn’t matter it’s not so customizable I guess. :)

totally agree with some of the comments, he probably just wanna convey his messages and not be bothered about customizing :)

but seriously, i didn’t know he had a blog :P

    Hello calvyn.. I remember I sent a comment here before… Did I miss it? Lol.. It’s ok…
Just to speak this out that.. Dr M is not using blogspot right? It’s a blogger domain which need payment every month..

And did you realize that he just started is blog this month on 1st May 2008? SO the number of posts are little.. accept some he deleted it..

Btw, I still think that blogspot is an easy website for those who don’t know much about HTML code like me.. :)
So.. It’s still ok to use blogspot right?
    Haha…

    And remember Mother’s Day… ;D

Yes, I agree with all above, but 1 thing that i make a question mark above is because people are calling him as “FATHER OF TECHNOLOGY” and he is using blogspot, sound like weired

  15. By amei79 on May 10, 2008 | Reply

dont think he is using free blogspot, as normall free domain come with http://www.xxx.blogspot.com, but his one without the word of “blogspot”, so he is registered a paid domain with blogger, i guess.

older entries? iz he just started blogging at http://www.chedet.com on 1/5? so it is reasonable that he only has 4 entries at time being, rite?

Blogging is just a way to put down your thoughts, Dr M use blogger (or other platform) because he know that “people” around him will search his blog. So doesn’t matter it’s a free blog platform or not. Look at the comments, his blog had pretty much traffics I think.

I have nothing against a free blogspot.com blog, even if the owner is a very famous person. Although it may look “ugly”, I think those famous person don’t have so much time like us, sitting in front of the computer to do all the customization stuff. Such blogs focus more on the content. But who will care about the ugly blogspot.com blog of Dr.M? The total comments he received in his new blog is even more than my 1-year-5-months blog~

    @amei79,
He is just buying a domain name. Like what I did before when I was blogging in blogspot.com. A .com domain name only cost around RM30 - RM50 per year.

blogspot very easy to setup… you know la Dr M is a newbie lui. :D

I think blogspot is the easiest to start a blog…… maybe that’s why Dr.M is using it…. he still might be trying to get the hang of it….. or something…..
